Hi Gerd,
I bought it yesterday. It's a very nice FF camera, the best one I had in my hands since the new digital era... I have to switch Leica-R mount to Leitax...
Best regards,
teiki.

Hi,
before buying it, I tried it last saturday with PENTAX HD D-FA 24-70 mm f/2.8 ED SDM WR. I didn't buy the zoom since I want to put my Leica-R lenses on the camera. But this is what I have done to test the behavior of IBIS and the sensor in high contrast, shadows and contre-jour shots... I am quite impressed by Pentax K-1. Apologize for quick shots, it was just for test..
All shots made with manual focus through OVF..
Best regards, teiki.

Thank you. I'm used to practice EOS 6D with my Leica-R manual lenses ... but the Pentax K-1, what a piece of cake! A wonderful camera for sure ...
Besides, I can focus with my glasses through OVF so that I can not do with the Canon EOS 6D / 5DMKIII .. I am a lucky man.
Best regards.

Hello everybody,
this is my first post about my Leica-R lenses on Pentax K-1. I gave two delicate lenses to transform in Leitax Mount thanks to David Llado (who is living nearby) which are Leica Summicron-R Apo Asph 90/2 & Leica Macro-Elmarit-R 60/2.8. I went and got them. I have some other Leica-R lenses to switch by myself soon. But yesterday, before coming back home, I only tried the Macro-Elmarit-R 60/2.8 in Girona.. The ones taken inside were between 1/13s and 1/50s hand held (thanks to IBIS/SR) and the ones in the restaurant with my wife were shot W.O..
Pentax K-1 does allow for metering including Multizone one in Av and (perhaps) in M mode. I actually was astonished, I thought Multizone wouldn't have been supported as well as autofocus tracking... Anyway, most of the time, I frame before focusing and don't have to focuse first and then frame, it's quicker. Nevertheless, metering compensation is -1IL for this lens. It changes with the lenses and sometimes depends on aperture. But I'm used to it, since I have been having digital cameras (EOS 5D, 5D MKII and 6D until K-1). I don't know if NR and (Highlight, shadow) dynamic adjustment work on RAW files, but I disconnected all of them. I do not need "green button" except if I want "Auto Iso". I programmed it from 100 to 800 in low Iso/low speed priority.

A 100% crop of the second one ( 2a) taken in a shop in Girona, Iso500 1/50s f:4.0.. Processed in DxO Optics Pro 11 (denoising with prime) and sent in LR6 (distortion process but there is nearly none for Macro-Elmarit), and finishing in Piccure+ lens correction (No aberration process, just rendering between 3 and 10)... The third one (3a) about my wife's hands, Iso800 1/15s W.O. All shots Hand held and Manual focus of course.

I am very pleased with this camera, K-1 worths every penny of its cost. IBIS/SR (shake reduction) is very efficient and especially in the range of 1/13s to 1/50s (not tried at lower "speed"). Indeed, A gem for my old gems... Don't talk to me about Nikon, Canon nor Leica cameras, I converted myself to pentax FF camera, I am already a K-1 fan follower... :headbang:
Best regards, thank you for watching..

First - i would appreciate if you would tick the numbering while uploading your pictures... makes it easier to provide some feedback.

And yep, i bet you're pleased - those lenses are special, pictures are just having this unique tan i could hardly describe. Beside this i do like the way you are capturing. I mean, the guitar player is not tap sharp - but who cares? The mood ist transported. You focused on your wife's hands in the restaurant, even the closeup of her hands.... And i believe so far you are just in "testing mode".

I'm looking forward to what you may have or create in stock for us and hope you will share. Also curious how the other R-Lenses will perform. Already impressed how well they keep up or even beat modern lenses.

Hello BUDDY,
of course you are right. It is just I'm not familiar with numbering. I'll try my best.

Firstable,
I used to play with my father's camera Minolta XD7 in 70's (Mexico, Guatemala, Martinique Island, Mauritius Island, Thailand, Burma, Indonesia, Singapore). And the X700 in early 80's (India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, China, Kong Kong, Taïwan). As my parents didn't ever think to offer me a camera (at that time we didn't dare to ask for one), I bought a Nikon F-801, the first camera (after FA) with multizone metering. I was not convinced by autofocus, so I strived myself to adopt manual focus, because no better one than I knows where to focuse. One day, I tried a Leica lens. AT that time, I was used (until 2008) to develop my B&W negatives and make prints myself. I was astonished by the splendid rendering of the Leica-R 80/1.4 since I sold, so I bought a bargain Leica R6 which I love in despite of maximum 1/1000s. I could shot at 1/8s hand held, it is a fantastic camera That I still own (one R4s and Two R8 as well).. So when you say these lenses are special, I can not say otherwise. And that's why I keep them, I love them. These lenses are small and even with their flaw, I am still surprised by their skills.. And yes, these examples are in "testing mode"...

I will share for sure but only if necessary, that means not a lot of photos I'm afraid...
It's just a pity that I can't write in german but I'll let you know for sure and thank you for your warm words of welcome.

In despite of jpeg artefacts, AdobeRGB to sRGB conversion and the website undersizing (square crops should be 1440x1440), one can see the nice resolution potential of this lens on FF camera...

On the first image, some 100% crop.. taken at 100Iso, f:4.0, 1/800s. My eyes failed a little bit since the focus point was made a little further the face, on the guitar and on the left shoe...

On the fourth image, some 100% crop. taken at 100Iso, f:5.6, 1/400s. I noticed the man going down the stairs in the light with his smartphone as all people do nowadays...
