I bought this item for my Pentax K-1 and it works perfectly.
At less than 20 euros, it's bargain, so why do without it?

just google for jjc IR remote, its wireless and costs next to nothing

Well, I think, that are two different kind of devices in my opinion. The JJR is just an IR remote control, the Viltrox is a radio transmitter/receiver up to 100m.
I choose for some €'s more the jy-710 with timer, interval and several other functions.
