Ricoh Imaging Americas Corporation today announced the launch of a new and improved online PENTAX photo gallery, as part of the 100th anniversary of the founding of Asahi Optical Joint Stock CO., the original manufacturer of PENTAX-brand products, which today includes digital SLR cameras, interchangeable lenses and binoculars.

In addition to launching the new PENTAX photo gallery, Ricoh is hosting a PENTAX 100 Years of History photo contest beginning October 1st. The contest will run for 13 weeks, and a new theme will be announced weekly. Contest entries should be submitted through the PENTAX photo gallery and the full rules can also be found there: http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com.


Everyone who enters the contest will be sent a commemorative T-shirt (limit one per person). Winners will be selected weekly and will receive a special PENTAX 100th Anniversary-branded prize. Two grand prize winners will be selected at the end of the contest from the weekly winners and will each receive a limited-edition PENTAX KP Navy Body and additional PENTAX 100th Anniversary-branded items. The contest starts on October 1st, 2019 and ends at 11:59pm on December 29th, 2019. PENTAX users can sign up for the new photo gallery, enter the contest and begin sharing photos today.

Users that already had an account will receive an email notification to re-authenticate it.

Ricoh is celebrating the PENTAX centennial throughout the year and around the globe with special events and commemorative goods.

Dazu fällt mir echt nix mehr ein. Wieder ein kompletter Fail. Ich weiss nicht ob diese Leute regelmäßig Knäckebrot toasten und sich wundern warum sie dauernd die Feuerwehr rufen müssen.

Wenn das alles nicht so traurig wäre, würde ich köstlich lachen ...

Das resetten alter Passwörter soll übrigens auch nicht funktionieren. Kann das jemand mit einem alten Account bestätigen?

ich hatte den Link zur Pentax Gallery ne ganze Weile in meiner Signatur - dann gabs die nicht mehr und jetzt alles neu?
Aber ich habe das gleiche Problem - war dort schon angemeldet, meine Bilder sind auch dort noch verfügbar nur (neu) anmelden kann ich mich nicht. "Unable to send message"..

Aber es gibt ja noch die deutsche bzw. europäische Pentax User Gallerie. Aber da bin ich nicht angemeldet:

Ja, ich dachte auch "wie schön" und habe es gleich in der Freuecke gepostet. Dann kam meine Passwort-Reset-Mail nicht durch. Aktuell immer noch nichts.
Das wird schon, aber warum kann man nicht etwas richtig testen, bevor man sich (wieder mal zuerst damit) blamiert?

Egal: jetzt hat es schon mehr als 1 Jahr gedauert ... da kommt es auf ein paar Tage / Wochen / Monate nicht mehr an .

ich hatte da auch mal einen account. Aber mbMn ging die Qualität der Fotos immer mehr den Bach runter (ich habe in keinem anderen Fotoforum mehr grottige Bilder gesehen), das Bewertungssystem war auch mehr als undurchsichtig, die Zeit, in der ein Foto in die Galerie kam war z.T. 3 Monate
Ich habe dann meine Fotos gelöscht und um die Löschung meines accounts und aller personenbezogenen Daten gebeten. Keine Reaktion. Auch nach nochmaliger Aufforderung der Löschung passierte nichts.
Nun habe ich auch diese Mail bekommen und ich bin froh, dass es nicht klappt . Jetzt wird wenigstens mein account zum 30.11. gelöscht .

Dito bei mir, ich habe auch um Accountlöschung gebeten aber nie eine Reaktion erhalten. Hab aber jetzt auch keine Mail zur Neueröffnung bekommen...ich hoffe mal mein alter Account ist jetzt weg, einen neuen werde ich nicht anlegen.

Nein kann ich nicht bestätigen, heute morgen die Mail gelesen, Password reset am Smartphone angefordert und durchgeführt. Da hat alles funktioniert. Gesehen, dass mein letzter Upload schon etwas her ist

Zumindest kann ich mich einloggen, aber eine Bestätigung per Mail kam nicht :o/

Schauen wir mal weiter ....

Bei mir hat alles sofort geklappt und ich habe auch schon 12 neue Bilder drin. Das ging teilweise innerhalb 24 Stunden
Allerdings kann man nicht mehr richtig nach Kamera-Objektiv-Kombinationen suchen und die Kamera- und Objektivliste beim hochladen ist eine Katastrophe. Die EXIF Daten kann man scheinbar nicht mehr einsehen... Bestimmt basteln die noch.
