Sammelthread - Leica R-lenses and Pentax K-1

Hello pentaxians,
I have been using my Leica-R lenses for 20 years. As I love their rendering, I didn't want to sell them! So when Leitz Company decided not to developp Leica-R FF digital body, I decided to buy Canon EOS FF SLR bodies. I had EOS 5D, 5D MarkII and now EOS 6D.
I use an adapter between my Leica-R lenses and my EOS 6D bodies. It works fine but I am ogling on a Pentax K-1 body. I don't want to buy Leica SL, it's really to expensive for what it is although it is a very nice camera.
I am fond of specifications of the Pentax FF body for the price. I am ready to switch to Pentax by changing the original mount for Leitax/Pentax mount but please, I need your advices if you don't mind.
I have these lenses:
- Leica-R 28/2.8 ROM
- Leica-R 35/2 ROM
- Leica-R 50/2 ROM
- Leica-R Macro 60/2.8 ROM
- Leica-R 90/2 AA ROM
- Leica-R Macro 100/2.8 ROM
- Leica-R 80-200/4 ROM
- Leica-R Apo-Telyt-Modular 280/2.8 ROM
- Leica-R Apo Extender 1.4x & 2x ROM

I have red that some people succeeded in changing Mount for Leitax for these lenses with Pentax K-1:
- Leica-R 50/2 ROM
- Leica-R Macro 60/2.8 ROM
- Leica-R Macro 100/2.8 ROM
- Leica-R 90/2 pre AA

As I am very interested to convert the following lenses, can you tell me if there is any restriction to use them on a FF Pentax K-1:
- Leica-R 28/2.8 ROM
- Leica-R 90/2 AA ROM
- Leica-R Apo Extender 1.4x
to begin... And if changing mount worth it...

I live nearby David of Leitax. He cannot confirm it works on Leica-R 28/2.8 ROM neither on Leica-R 90/2 AA ROM with Pentax K-1. That's why I am asking your community. I need a confirmation...

Sorry, you are right, I missed that in your thread.

The user splash_fr seems to have that 90 mm Summicron lens on his K-1:

But the Leica-R 90/2 you're talking about is the Pre Asph 90. I am talking about the Leica-R 90/2 AA ROM. Besides, the Leica-R 28/2.8 you are talking about is the first version. I am talking about the Leica-R 28/2.8 Second Version with integrated hood (sunvisor). The last one is retro focus and to my eyes is one of the best 28/2.8 I know except for distortion but someone can easily fix it with software (LR6 for example).

Hm.... since you live nearby David i'm surprised that he's not keen to check it out - i would expect he would happily change the mount for you and build it back in case some issues occur. Anyway a win win situation where you wouldn't risk anything having the benefit that he might adjust the mount if needed since to me he tries to have a complete solution package for not only but especially all the Leica glasses out there.

You will not find someone here in the community with exact your setup. User methusalem ist the one who fiddles any lens somehow to the K-Mount, some of the Leicas you have mentioned as well but not 28 and 90 you are asking for in particular.

However - Leitax seems to me the best way as whether they might have a customer or might be eager to try it for themselves. Good luck anyway.

Thank you all. I should buy A Pentax K-1 soon (at winter 2016-2017) and switch to Leitax.
