Sure, if I shoot without a filter, I have all options, even for black and white
But if I only want black and white, I also screw on color filters and have the camera only in b / w - works well for me in landscapes with the camera screen, not so with the viewfinder .
And it works well for me with old lenses, less with new ones - everything is my way and not a law .

Digitally, I currently only use the Elmarit r 35 / 2.8 and Summicron r 50/2, as well as my very good Pentax DFA 70-210 / 4 - a very nice team.

PS:
I mainly use RawTherapee (trying Silkypix, Iridient) process for Pixel Shift mode picture. And for not PS mode, DxO Photolab, Silkypix. I do not like LR with DNG Pentax files process according to awful color rendition.
I am experimenting another way with PS2DNG which converts original Pixel Shift DNG (4 frames) in a unique DNG file. Then I can use LR (with lens correction for Leica-R lenses), Iridient but not DxO PL unfortunately.

Yes, especially for portraits I like to use the 50/2, but for groups also the 35 / 2.8.

Here photos of a walk in the rain last week, with the Summicron r 50/2 on the K1.
