Hello Ralph,
thank you for posting some photos! I do not feel alone in the world anymore...
I do not have the Apo-Telyt-R 180/3.4 any more. But I remember it is a very nice lens (stunning I would say) but the minimum focus distance is not so cleaver. The only way to decrease the minimal working distance is putting extension rings as we did. Doing this, the resolution decreases as well. Nevertheless, I am very astonished to see that our photos still are "watchable".
The major disadvantage is the difficulty to shoot outside according to the very small depth of focus in windy conditions (very windy where I live).
My preferred one is #3, but it's just a matter of personal taste. All are nice. Leica rendering is very special as well as for Zeiss, I would say special outstanding gift and rendering among vintage lenses... In our case, I can "feel" the texture of the flowers.
