Aktuell muß ich aber noch in der Fußgänger Zone Lieder trällern, da mein Sparstrumpf von der K3III aufgefressen wurde.
Also wenn Ihr jemand talentfrei Lieder in der FuZo singen hört, der einen Pentax K3III neben dem Spendenschälchen stehen hat das bin dann ich...

The lens focuses very quickly and is super quiet! You have to trust that something is happening because you can't hear much. One strange thing is that once you turn on the camera, the lens refocuses back and forth quickly (probably PLM motor activation?). It is not slowing down the use of the lens as this refocusing happens quickly while the camera is waking up but you can see it in the OVF.

I deliberately took many images wide open at F2.8 and stopped down to see how good the lens is. I was surprised to see that the lens is great at 16mm even wide open. I have hard time seeing any major difference between F2.8 and F4. The corners at 16mm wide open are still very good and improve only little when stopping down. At 50mm, the lens seems a bit worse and I can see an improvement when stopping down from F2.8 (both center and corners) .. but still very good!

Chromatic aberrations are minimal. I see no signs of LoCA. But as you can see there is some vignetting at F2.8 and distortion. But that will not be a big deal once a lens profile becomes available for LR (correction in camera is possible).
